About My Full Body Massage Courses
Are you a beginner looking to train as a professional massage therapist? Maybe you are looking for a rewarding change in career, or are you looking for another income?
This course is for you! Become a fully qualified practitioner in just a few short months.
This course, equivalent to ITEC Level 3, is for complete beginners, no previous experience of massage is necessary. It is completed over 6 days at fortnightly intervals with case studies in between.
Preparation for the ITEC Level 3 Anatomy, Physiology and Pathology exam (Unit iUCT38) is covered in the morning sessions which are from 10.00 until 1.00. We also cover Principles and Practice of Complementary Therapies and Business Practice for Complementary Therapies. The afternoon sessions (2.00 until 5.00) are spent learning how to perform the full body massage. You will receive a free video link to enable you to access the routine. What Will be Covered?
- A review of anatomy and physiology.
- Common diseases and dysfunctions of the body.
- What is meant by the “holistic approach”?
- Health and safety, code of ethics and hygiene practices.
- How to set up a business.
- Self care and correct posture while practicing.
- The history of massage.
- The benefits of massage.
- Contra-indications and contra-actions.
- Client consultation and aftercare advice.
- Massage strokes.
- Treatment preparation.
- The treatment.
How Will the Course be Assessed?
Written exam (multiple choice) and practical demonstration.
Students will learn how to treat individual parts of the body culminating in a full body treatment. There will be a mock exam and then the final exam will be on the last day of the course.
The ITEC Level 3 Anatomy and Physiology exam will be sat at the Oakdale Centre in Poole on completion of the course.
Do I Need any Previous Experience?
No previous experience of massage is necessary.
A video of the routine will be provided for you to study at home once you have begun the course.
6 full day sessions at fortnightly intervals with time in between each session for students to revise, practice and provide case studies.
Courses are on Saturdays from 10.00 until 5.00.

What Do I Need to Bring?
You need to bring your manuals and a pen and paper. Wear loose comfortable clothing, a professional tunic, black trousers and flat shoes. Students will practice on each other. Oils, towels and couch covers will be provided.
This course is accredited and approved by The Guild of Holistic Therapists to enable you to practice professionally and obtain insurance. On completion of the course, you can set up your own business as a massage therapist or join a team working in a salon or spa. You can also give mobile treatments.
Two certificates will be provided on successful completion of the course.
£1560 + £150 exam fee
A deposit of £350 will be required on receipt of which I will send you your manuals (3). This also keeps and confirms your place on the course. The deposit is non-refundable. If you are unable to make a course date that you have arranged, you will be offered another one at a date that is convenient for you. The balance of the payment is payable on day one of the course.
Grants are available in Dorset for people on low incomes, people who are looking for a career change, or people who are returning to work after a break. Contact me for details.
As well as your manuals, you will be given a link to a video of the massage routine. This is free of charge.
There is a compulsory text book for this course, this will need to be purchased separately.
Alternatively, it is possible to do the massage part of the course with me at a cost of £995, and then the anatomy and physiology online at a cost of £198 + £150 exam fee.
There will be a maximum of 2 people on each course so that I can provide individual attention to each student.
